I readRussia Times and Sputnik all the time. It’s the only place place to find out what’s actually going on. I pay zero attention to Western clown media. Putin and others DEFINITELY need to begin talking to Westerners directly. We are ready!
Support doesn't even need to be formal. Bloggers and livestreamers make money through paid subscriptions, patreons, and superchats. Just set up thousands of bot accounts and funnel money towards voices that are saying things you like. It's pretty obvious that breadtubers are largely supported in this fashion by Soros et al.
The idea of Russia building relationships with dissident bloggers in the US makes so much sense that it is hard for me to imagine Russia doing it. Too bad because there is a golden opportunity.

Nearly everyone who voted for Trump and the small dissident left know that nearly everything in the media about America is a lie. Sounds like Russians do the same thing. They know that everything the Jewish media writes about Russia is a lie but assume the stories about America are true. No, they are just as big of lies as the ones about Russia.

The conservative pro-Christian elements of Russian culture are definitely appealing to mainstream American "conservatives" (really just Republican voters). We all know Putin banned LGBT propaganda just like Reps want to do. Another notable mainstream event was that awful US Army ad with the girl with two moms juxtaposed to the manly, tough Russian military ad.
Republican voters are at least semi-aware that Russia is a more manly, conservative, Christian country which is how they want things. Coupled with the fact that Russia seems to be a Democrat boogeyman (enemy of my enemy is my friend) I think there's some potential here for Russia to ally with American Republican voters. If the Democrats all think "the Reps are in bed with Russia!" why not just make it happen anyway?

...but that's what RT did/does. I got into many arguments, trying to point out that RT never outright lied, but scrupulously presented stories that showed the west in a less-than-glittering light.
RT is extremely well-done, but as such, it's competing with the western MSM, whose propaganda and deception is peerless. RT is valiantly trying to play against a duplicitous home team on a severely tilted playing field. Its major weakness is its very effectiveness: it can be branded as a purveyor of disinformation exactly because the truths it purveys are so compellingly inconvenient.
I do agree that having more english-channel outlets would be helpful, as witnessed by the interest people are taking in what non-MSM bloggers are reporting about Ukraine. The main question is, can alternative channels ever acquire a voice strong enough to counter the cartoon news that the MSM provides for couch-potatoes and headline believers.
Russia needs to move away from boomer ideologies of controlling the Press and television. That is what boomers watch and reaching boomers is good, but largely irrelevant. The youth (esp in big cities) is who you want to influence, as they are the drivers of public opinion and will in the future sit in positions of power in the press, government and various institutions. This means Russia must focus on mediums interesting to the youth - bloggers. And not just any kind of bloggers - high school aged kids, college kids, and models. Especially female models. Hot female models, game streamers and girls in the political game in the West will do a great deal more to spread Russia's message to the world than RT, Sputnik or any tired news site that nobody of importance believes anyway. Also, Russia should work on improving its movie/music scene like South Korea.
South Korea has recently attained great cultural influence through Kpop and kdramas being popular on netflix (eg squid game), Russia should also start promoting their culture in a similar way but without gay movies like Rzhev or Zoya. Indeed, Russia's media scene is trying to carbon copy Hollywood without developing in its own direction like South Korea's has.
What a good idea. There is some conservatives who truly might understand the Russian situation and really do not want this war. Yet of course the current US regime will declare them as Russian sympatheizers and treasonous but we know why. It seems democrats trying to cover up a huge scandal and heavy international crimes they are and were involved in. Many in usa have seen the nastiness of the democrats. Personally they are vile to me and I am in usa. They lie and point moral fingers on everybody but they are themselves holier than thy. Their moral superiority has truly vanished though in reality if it ever was there.
Good suggestions for getting the word out, both to counter the lies circulated about Russia in the West and to bolster the national confidence of Russians themselves.
"Dire straights" translates roughly into English as "desperate heterosexuals". OK, you might have a metaphorical point there. But even the rock band got it right, Dire Straits! It's of geographical/nautical derivation.
