Prigozhin declared victory in the ammo wars:
“Today at 6 am, they announced that the shipment of ammunition is starting. Most likely, the train started moving. So far, on paper, but, as we were told, the main papers have already been signed.
I would like to thank all those who helped us make this happen. You saved hundreds, maybe thousands of lives of guys who are defending their homeland, gave them the opportunity to live on. Their mothers and their children will not receive coffins with their bodies.
Many thanks to those who did it in various ways - to those ordinary citizens who did everything they could, and to those who were, including in high offices, exerted pressure and made decisions.
And, of course, to those who provided the last straw so that they began to give us ammunition. Thank you. Thank you guys."
The fact that he had to launch this public media attack meant that he had already lost a battle in the internal war for influence and resources with the Shoigu faction. So, he went the Populism route by starting a media attack campaign.
Wagner’s posted this photo of their own casualties:
Is this the “attrition warfare” strategy that I have heard so much about?
It seems like the Russians are getting as good as they’re dishing it out to me.
Anyways, Prigozhin’s public pressure campaign worked. That means Wagner is still in the fight.
Overall, I think that Wagner’s role in this war has been dramatic.
They have made the MoD look like traitors and clowns
They have shaken up the internal political power balance in Russia
They have made Russia’s ideological class so uncomfortable that they’ve been blacked out of the media
They have carved out their own fiefdom and may stand to gain even more as the war continues
They have become the cutting edge of Russia’s propaganda and media effort, showing up everyone else, again
And the best part is that no one can attack them openly because they’re doing the dirty work on the front.
I told you guys not to bet against Wagner. I’m not betting against them. It seems that a clash with the MoD or the FSB is inevitable down the line. Let’s see what happens next.
And just imagine the 5D lemming flock was quacking that this was either a fake out to lure the Ukrainians into thinking that Wagner had no ammo when they actually had a lot. The point of such a fake out is unclear and its obvious downside of creating tension and distrust towards the authorities doesn't appear to be a good trade off but maybe you need to be an attrition expert to really understand how trade offs work.
Or they say that Prigozhin was just being a dick for demanding more ammo and that Russia could easily do without Wagner but Shoigu and Gerasimov are indispensable assets to the attrition campaign. Now presumably that is a tacit admission that Wagner was indeed receiving insufficient ammo and if Russia cant make ammo rain for whoever wants it than how is the attrition strategy suppose to work? In order to achieve the golden ratio of 100.99 Ukrainian dead for every 1 Russian you actually need overwhelming advantage in munitions dont you?
If this keeps up Im predicting the 5D special education entrail readers will be calling for Prigozhin to be replaced with someone "acceptable to the Kremlin" just like they were with Lukashencko. This drama totally deflates any claims that all is well because its literally either "nah the Kremlin was doing a 5D fake out by totally discrediting itself in the eyes of people at the front" which implies retards in the Kremlin or "Prigozhin is out of control for publicly demanding more ammo" which implies there isn't a ton of ammo and therefore how does this attrition thing work exactly?
