Mr. 'Multipolarity', Pepe Escobar is usually useless, but in this case he got an interview with Glazyev who dumped several buckets of cold water on Pepe's ridiculous 'the multipolar World is here'. Glazyev again talks about the insurmountable problems caused by the Russian Central Bank, and the inexplicable refusal by Putin to rid the country of the last of the oligarchs.
"Russia’s army is basically a feudal conglomeration of squabbling warlords and their private military fiefdoms with the MoD playing favorites with some, but not others" Typical of any bureaucracy, unfortunately. Heck, there are reasons to believe that Patton was actually assassinated over such rivalries in WWII.
"It feels like MAGA and Trump in ‘15 or ‘16 all over again!" Prepare the multiple impeachments and indictments.
Lest you get the wrong idea, I DO want the good guys to win, but there are many expected historical and political forces working against this.
I have yet to read the whole thing, but Rolo I am afraid that even by Russian standards, Prigozhin is nowhere near being "presidential" enough to run for office and be a political rival to Putin or anyone else at any point in the future near or far.
An independent player carving his own space, a sort of court jester but with insightful takes to derive from his jokes, yes... but I cannot see him at the helm inside the Kremlin, spouting trite banalities during New Year official speeches, or having solemn diplomacy meetings with Xi and the likes.
I believe in Putin. I hope I"m right. I think that the more the truth gets out the greater the chance it will get to Putin and he'll do something about it.
I know nothing of his habits. I wish I did. Will someone tell us? Does he do his own web browsing and listening/reading? Or is everything he gets fed to him?
If he relies entirely on being fed the it becomes very, very important to know who is feeding him.
I thought Prigozhin was a close friend and therefore one who would be 'feeding him', someone with whom he may be in continual confidential contact with. But it begins to look like it is not like that.
Prigozhin might want to have every transport vehicle carefully inspected before he moves about and drive around in an MRAP. He'll get the Patton treatment if he's not careful.

His grandmother on his mother's side I believe, who was killed in WW2, was surnamed "Shelomaova" - daughter of Shelom, or Shalom. I don't know if anyone knows the facts behind that, I certainly don't, but it would explain certain things.
