Why Isn't Russia Letting Western Migrants Into Russia?
An Interview With Deputy Dmitri Kuznetsov of the Russian State Duma
A few weeks ago, I started conducting a series of interviews with Russian conservatives. I shopped around and tried to find an outlet with a larger audience that would be interested in publishing them. But, no doubt because these interviews presented an alternative, patriotic perspective coming from within Russia, that contradicted the 5D narrative promoted by shameless shills, I found no takers. So this is going to be a short-lived series. No one wants to do interviews with lone bloggers that get less than 10k views and are ignored by all the big names. Thanks, alternative media and fuck you.
Anyways, Deputy Dmitri Kuzetsov, a conservative opposition voice in the Duma, agreed to an interview with me on the topic of Western immigration into Russia and this is what he had to say.
**
Thanks for speaking with me. Let’s jump right in. I wanted to talk to you about your efforts to encourage Western migrants to come to Russia. From what I understand, you have some good news to share about progress being made on this front?
On Valentines day of 2014, citizens from NATO countries came together with Russians to share their concern over the trajectory that their countries were taking. It was a special conference held for people sharing traditional values. These Westerners came to say that they were suffering under the yoke of their globalist, Liberal, anti-Christian elites. The suppression of free speech and the discrimination against Christians was the greatest concern raised. As a result, we have continued to host this meeting and it continues to grow and attract more and more positive attention from the authorities in Russia.
I heard about the conference, but what are your goals, exactly?
My proposal is simple. But first, I should explain what I have already done. I organize with expats already in Russia and have helped them create a volunteer organization to help them get their compatriots over to Russia. I help them from my side using my powers as a deputy in the Duma. I raise the issue (of Western migration to Russian) in the government and try to help them with navigating the bureaucracy and with the law and with getting work once they are here.
You know, it is interesting, the kinds of people that we attract.
There are two large categories. Americans from the glubina [the sticks] are interested. The people who live in the Bible Belt. These are Protestant fundamentalists.
The other group is Orthodox converts. Father Joseph Gleason heads up the initiative to help these people get over to Russia. There have been 300,000 converts in America, and many of them want to move to live in an Orthodox country.
But the largest obstacle that they face is the large and cumbersome Russian bureaucracy. These people need help with it from within Russia. Otherwise, these people are self-sufficient. They have the spirit of the pioneers in them! They want to organize themselves, build their own homes, businesses and lives. They do not ask for anything from the Russian government. But they do want to be left alone and not be persecuted for their faith. In their own countries, neoliberal politicians do not allow them to live the way that they believe that God commands them to. This is a serious point for them. You have to understand.
Also, I should add that there are also many Germans who are trying to move over. These are Russian Germans, mostly. That is, Russians who left Russia to live the Western dream and were deeply disappointed. And also just Germans who like Russia for one reason or another. Russia used to have a lot of German communities living within it historically. These Germans are not religiously motivated, but practically-minded, and do not see as much of a future in Germany as in Russia. These are “economic” migrants and religion is not their main motivation.
But all of these groups like what we Russians take for granted. Free schools that are safe and have a high quality of education. Safety is key - rhe safety that we in Russia take for granted. But there are other quality of life factors as well, of course.
Sorry, but I have to ask. Feel free to not answer if you don’t want to though and we can move on. Isn’t it possible that these people might bring over their own political agenda with them though? Many Protestants in America are very pro-Israel, for example. Couldn’t that be a problem going forward?
Well, from my experience, these Protestants are not political. They are mostly focused on Christian values and they say that Biden hates Americans as much as he hates Russians. They also believe that their country was taken over by Liberals and atheists. So that is the extent of their political involvement. And they do not talk much about Israel. They do not think about Israel. These are simple people and they probably could not find Israel on a map if you asked them because they focus on their own lives and on their own work. See, us Russians are not like this. Russians are generally more well-informed than Americans and more opinionated. Ask any security guard at the grocery store in Russia about his opinions, and you will find yourself conversing with a geopolitical expert, you see?
I’d also like to add that our propaganda confuses people on the issue of Western Satanism, which is now often discussed in the news. I do not think that Biden got together with his ministers and said, “hey guys, we won, let’s do some Satanism now!” This is not what is going on. Rather, these are just like the people that were punished in the Bible. People think that God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because they were sexual perverts. But actually god punished them for their pride. Their sexual perversion was a result of their arrogance.
So, really, God loved America and gave them many gifts. With God’s love, America prospered and became the greatest country in the world. This is indisputable. But, God wanted America to help the world with his gifts. To feed the world’s homeless and end the world’s wars. But America used God’s blessings to ignite more wars and to make the situation worse for the peoples of the world. The American elite became arrogant and hoarded God’s gifts to themselves. That is why God has turned against America. That is why generals in skirts have appeared. It is all the result of arrogance. A punishment from God for not helping other people. So this is the Satanism that we are talking about here.
So what is the main obstacle then to getting these people to Russia? I agree that there are many in America and the West in general who are sympathetic to Russia and fed up with the direction that their own countries are going. This isn’t a new phenomenon - it’s been building up for at least 10 years now. But, what is the hold-up?
Well, Russia is a country with a high culture. You have to read Russian literature to truly understand the high culture of our bureaucracy. [Note: here he is making a tongue-in-cheek joke]. Our writers say that our country can only exist because of its large bureaucracy. So the bureaucracy and the large government that we have is a good thing, undoubtedly. However, it comes at a high price. This machine moves very slowly. Very slowly. That is why when the President sets the agenda, it takes a very long time for this to be reflected by the policies of the government. And the masses below are allied to their president above demanding more progress be made. And progress is indeed made. But very slowly. It has always been this way.
So this is not the result of callousness on the part of the government. It is simply the result of the nature of the Russian bureaucracy. That is why these Westerners are treated the same way as a potential migrant from Papua New Guinea, for example. This shocks many Westerners. They take this as a slight! They think that they are unwanted. And that is our main job now in Russia - to get the machine moving faster. To change the policies of our government.
So there is no ideological opposition, in your opinion, just lethargy on the part of the Russian government, correct?
No ideological opposition, no. Mostly, I think that our government is surprised to learn that Westerners want to move to Russia at all. They genuinely seem baffled by the phenomenon and treat it with suspicion. I don’t think that they understand that America is a Trotskyist society now and that we are dealing with ideological fanatics. That America is the new USSR hell-bent on conquering the world.
That’s an interesting point that you raised. I was also treated with extreme skepticism when I first moved to Russia and no one believed what I had to say about the West as if I was crazy. They seemed to seriously believe the Hollywood image of 1950s America.
Some American dissidents even refer to the USA as the USSA nowadays. But do Russians know that Trotskyists run America now? Do they know the story about how they got kicked out of the USSR and then came to America and became neocons?
No, Russians don’t know anything about the neocons. They think, as you said, that America is still in the 1950s. This is reflected both on the street level and on the political level. Many do not believe just how much America has changed and believe that this is simply state propaganda coming from our side similar to what we were being fed in the USSR.
So what would be your ideal migration policy scenario?
I like the position of Tim Kirby who is a former American football player.
He said that our migration policy should be similar to the strategies employed by sports teams. They pick the people that they know that they need to win the game. So we ought to pick people who are helpful to us. It is no secret anymore that droves of Russian Liberals left the country over the last year. So we lost many IT workers and the like. We need to forget these people. Moving to Russia ought to be an act of love. Let us replace them with Western specialists instead. Especially IT workers and other skilled professions. We do not need these Liberals anymore. Let them stay wherever it is that they have run off to.
Then we also have lots of land that is not being used. So, we need more farmers. People with a tradition of working on farms who know what they are doing.
Russia, strange as it sounds, is a country of immigrants. We have had a lot of people moving into Russia. Many times in history, we accepted ideological dissidents. They became contributors to Russian society and we were made better off because of them.
How do you feel about migration from Central Asia? It is also no secret that Russia has serious problems with huge numbers of Muslims coming in from there. Russia has an open border policy with the ‘stans, no?
Russia is a free country that is open to all. But I am against the mass migration of a cheap labor force into Russia. This is a scheme to steal money from the Russian people. These people from Central Asia do not share our values. Many are Muslims who do not want to integrate into our society and create enclaves which are dangerous to the safety of our state. This is an oligarch scheme through and through. But we need professional migrants and people who are self-sufficient. We would be better off with Westerners who share our values. We don’t even need millions of migrants from the West. A hundred thousand is enough. Russia is a multicultural society and so they will have no problems integrating. It will also help us to establish a dialogue with the West because we will be able to speak with these Americans who live among us and better communicate with American society through them.
In general, we need to use the Bible as our guide.
Biden, by the way, either doesn’t read or doesn’t follow the Bible. The god of the Bible is for peace and multicultural harmony. Our planet is small and as soon as the Americans stop treating the rest of the world the way that they treated the Indians we will all be better for it.
So is this going to happen soon, do you think? Or is this a long and tedious process that is only now starting?
I think that it will take many years before our bureaucracy allows even a hundred thousand Westerners into Russia. Like I said, Russia is a country with a Byzantine bureaucracy. But Russia is also a country of miracles. So there is always the chance that we will succeed. And I see the demand for this growing in the West. I see it only growing as the West becomes more and more repressive.
And these volunteer groups of Western expats are doing good work to help their compatriots out.
I take it that American Christians read you? Tell them to go to expatrussia.org and get into contact with the volunteers to learn more about how it can be done. They have helped about 50 people in the last two months.
When I got residency in Russia I had to do a long day wasting interview with FSB. The young spook was questioning me about my time working for Zog as a contractor overseas and I replied to him sarcastically that my job was to "help spread democracy and voting and all that". The spook said back in total seriousness, not a drop of irony, "we also have democracy and elections you know". Big redpill moment for me in regards to Russia.
On the other hand you arent going to find any ethnic Russian taxi drivers or security guards in Russia that love the US at least. But the spooks and beuracrats are all cucks basically.
